Summary
He was once called Orphan X.
As a boy, Evan Smoak was taken from a children's home, raised and trained as part of a secret government initiative. But he broke with the programme, choosing instead to vanish off grid and use his formidable skill set to help those unable to protect themselves. One day, though, Evan's luck ran out . . .Ambushed, drugged, and spirited away, Evan wakes up in a locked room with no idea where he is. As he tries to piece together what's happened, testing his gilded prison and its highly trained guards for weaknesses, he receives a desperate call for help. With time running out, he will need to out-think, out-manoeuvre, and out-fight an opponent the likes of whom he's never encountered.
“An even more intense and harrowing thriller. The pace that never lets up.” DAILY MAIL.

Another excellent Nowhere man adventure. It keeps you guessing. Add in excellent narration and this is a fantastic selection.

Another fantastic listen. The narrator really brings the book alive. I'm invested in the whole series now.

Good follow up to Orphan X. Took a different plot direction that i found interesting. In terms of the narrator, he was a little too intense at times. I like reading with feeling but it got a bit much at times and had me eye rolling. Also i think i have heard more detail about vodka than i need. It is a pretty good read though and i will be reading the next one

A thrilling and very good narrated Nowhere Man adventure. I liked it.

Wow! Enough action and violence to last a life time! An improbable plot and endless descriptions of fighting and dodging the next life endangering subplot left me dazed and eventually highly amused - then just irritated! I nearly abandoned it in the last hour but decided not to write off what I'd already invested in time. However it was an inevitable ending. Not an author I will look at again. The narrator failed to get the right tone for the female characters - but I have to say he had a lot to handle in those crazy descriptions. Not a book I'd recommend
