Summary
I'm the nerdy reporter. He's the hotshot diver. We're complete opposites. There's no way this will ever work.

My entire life, I've had one dream. To be the best reporter I can be and tell stories that matter. When the opportunity to shadow an Olympian lands in my lap, I'm determined to rise to the occasion. But nothing can prepare me for Wes Cooper in all his glory.

Wes is the cocky athlete who has no interest in having a green reporter standing in his way. Or asking too many questions. Which is fine. I'm here to do my job, not be his friend.

But when he extends an olive branch, I start to rethink things.

There's clearly more to him than meets the eye. The more time I spend with him, the more I want to know. Professionally, of course.

Except when he looks at me like that, I feel all kinds of unprofessional things.

I'm a goner.

Off the Deep End is an opposites attract sports romance and I loved Wes and Finn. Wes is making his comeback after and injury took him out of swimming. Finn is a young reporter assigned to cover Wes journey back to the olympics. I loved the chemistry between and that they were able to open up to each other and built a friendship together. It was hard not to fall in love with this story and the characters. Their story was feel good sweet and steamy romance and I loved every moment. JF Harding (Finn) and Tim Paige (Wes) performed the book and brought these two characters to life. Tim was able to portray Wes’ confidence with Finn and also his mental struggles with returning to swimming after his injury. J.F. did a great job showcasing Finn, shy sweet personality and also his ambitious side when it comes to his career. I loved both of their performances.

Story: 8/10 Spice: 2/5 Narration: 4/5 Spice Hierarchy: Open Door Release Tour Review Wes is sidelined during his pursuit for the Olympics and is finally ready to make a comeback. His coach thinks he needs to gain more support and followers and allows a local reporter to follow him through training and qualifying for the Olympic team. Finn is ready to write something that will make a big impact so he is ok with his editor telling him he will now be following an athlete and a sport he knows next to nothing about for quite awhile. The more time they spend together, the more their attraction grows. Finn’s articles are gaining more and more attention. Wes is physically ready but it’s not always that simple. This is a quick, low angst read. It’s really just a beautiful love story about supporting those you love. The last article Finn writes about Wes was so well done in terms of recognizing athletes specifically and their need to be mindful of their own mental health, but it can be true for everyone. Reading this made me miss the smell of chlorine and the pool (but not enough to get back to those early morning and late night swims). The narration was really well done. Since it’s two male narrators, I always worry how their voice will sound when they read a female voice. Both did a great job as well as being the perfect voices for Finn and Wes.
