Good SF book with excellent narration

Narrator is great. But I expected more from the story. Not as much thrill as I thought it would be.

I've read this book a dozen times, however this was the first time on audio book. The story I love. And the narrator was very comfortable to listen to. John Scalzi is a great writer. Highly recommend story.

The idea of ​​the book is cool, but not executed really well for my taste, but there are some cool action sequences that are really nice. I can't stand the main character - funny, charming, sociable, everyone loves him, successful in everything, humble, loves his wife forever.... blah blah blah.. BORING! Like, if there is such a wonderful character why write a book. No need for a plot, just drop the wonderful character everywhere and he will always win and defeat the bad guys effortlessly. Boring. The main character does not try and fail, does not learn from mistakes, does not develop... Too many romance scenes are not necessary, in my opinion. The plot would have been complete without them. Overall, it was nice to listen to despite all the unnecessary romantic scenes. Easy going book on my commute. So, if it was unbearable, then I would have stopped and not finish the book, but I did, so that means something.
