Summary
Oliver Twist; or, The Parish Boy's Progress is the second novel by Charles Dickens. The story is about an orphan Oliver Twist, who endures a miserable existence in a workhouse and then is placed with an undertaker. He escapes and travels to London where he meets the Artful Dodger, leader of a gang of juvenile pickpockets. Oliver is led to the lair of their elderly criminal trainer Fagin, naively unaware of their unlawful activities. Packed with a host of unforgettable characters this story will have you laughing and crying in turn(but mostly laughing).A must for any booklover.

I appreciated this classic tale, but some of the different narrators made it difficult to stay focused on the story.

Loved the book! I enjoy all Dickens’ books but this one is shorter and stays lively. The recording wasn’t bad, with just about each chapter having a different author it made it difficult to follow at some points (I know I had trouble understanding chapter 20 and one or two others), but most of the readers were great and it was fun hearing how each reader presented the story.

chapter of the hour 9 this reader is very choppy and difficult to focus on or understand compared to the previous chapters. many of the readers are good, some are just so so and take more effort to hear.

This would have been an excellent book , if not for the narration. They were far too many different narrators. Somewhere good and many were terrible, which affected the overall experience at the book. One book should have one narrator or it messes up the whole rhythm.

The book is awesome. I've only seen the movie. The book is so much better. I had a hard time focusing on the book with each chapter being read by a different person.
