Unabridged Audiobook
A well researched and gripping look at the titanic struggles between the German and Soviet militaries between the Fall 1942 and the Spring of 1943. Buttar covers both high level operations and low level personal accounts of life on the ground in a seamless and natural way. He gives us a glimpse of well known personalities and of the regular soldiers in equal measure. He does so in a way that feels as if you were there and suffering along with the men yet leaves you wanting to hear more. All in all an excellent listen.
