‘Once upon a time….’

‘…And they lived happily ever after.’

Sounds familiar right? This is how fairy tales begin and end? Yes! They form

a significant part of entertainment for children in our world today. What is

happening is that these make-beliefs are shaping the way they think and are

creating false life expectations that set them up to being disappointed in

adulthood.

Once Upon A Life is a true life story of a girl who found herself in a world far from

what she had seen on television. This story emphasises the fact that life is not a

fairy tale or fantasy. Rather, it is filled with real events, ups and downs, the good,

the bad and the ugly, and you need to know what to expect.

Many life lessons in this book should cause you to pause and reflect upon your

life and background. With that, you will be more deliberate about your life and

the decisions you make. You will also be able to see the events that have shaped

your life and understand how you can put things in their right perspective in

order to get where you want to go.
