There was also a serial on Mullah Nasruddin that influenced the likes of Satyajit Ray and Idris Shah. In many countries his stories are used to make fun of imperialists. His worshipers say Nasruddin was a true humanist. The Nasruddin Festival takes place from July 5 to July 10 in his hometown. Nasruddin is not the only person who gets in the knives.
