Unabridged Audiobook
Glad to find this book. Fills a good chunk of the information void between the Tudors and Hanoverians. Generally covers from restoration of the monarchy after Cromwell up to the installation of William and Mary. Smooth, even toned narration.
This book focuses on a precursor event to American history that Americans rarely study. Unfortunately it takes a long time to get the story off the ground, and the narrative (or perhaps it's the narrator) makes it sound like you're sitting in a sormwhat boring history class - long lists of "and then King X did this in 1679, and the ships sailed in 1680 and Sir Z who was an advisor to King X wrote a secret letter..." If you hang in there, it really is a good story; it's just not told particularly well.
Wow! What a great book. If you are interested in British history and the foundations for what drove the American Revolution, this is a must-read. Very enlightening, and well read.
