She writes romances but doesn't believe in love. He's always said she's 'the one.' Will mistletoe and a mail-order bride mix-up create a Christmas connection that turns real?

Bree: I'm back in my hometown with an impossible deadline and a bank account on life support. When I sign up with a mail-order bride service for book research, my match is the guy I've spent years avoiding. Now we're stuck in a binding contract through the holidays.

Fletch: The penalty for losing a hockey bet is signing up to be a mail-order groom. I figured it would be a funny story to tell—until my match turns out to be the girl I've secretly pined for since college. She thinks my feelings were always a joke, but this Christmas, I'm playing for keeps.

Bree: We made rules: keep it professional, keep our distance, keep our hearts uninvolved. But every time he looks at me with those warm brown eyes, I think about our mistletoe kiss. He's supposed to be my research subject, not the man making me question everything I write about.

Fletch: Joining forces for the hockey toy drive and the pageant are my chance to prove what I said back in college, 'I'm going to marry that woman someday.' I've spent my career scoring goals, but when the final buzzer of our agreement sounds on December 25th, I'm hoping to win her heart.

She thinks love only exists between the pages of her books. He's about to turn her whole world into a story worth telling. But when Christmas ends, will their contract expire too?
