Unabridged Audiobook
I’ll be honest I don’t really have comments on the story. I didn’t get far enough into the book to form an opinion. What I can say is that the entire book has an echo in the sound which I found immensely distracting. It sounds like the person recording has people in their house constantly talking in the background and when I focused I noticed that it was a lower volume and slightly delayed copy of the audio playing in the background. Anyway I skipped ahead to see if it was still a problem in later chapters, it was, and promptly decided to drop the book. I highly recommend trying a sample to see if this is a problem for you before buying this audiobook.
Was good.
As one reviewer said, there is an echo audio that sounds like a radio is in the background. Most importantly, the story is very loose and the character development of the supporting characters very poor. Many things in the story just don’t connect or really make sense, even though this is fantasy, I expect some flow to the world building. The female characters: ha!!!! Like- a maid walked in. Women and children were gathered in the square. That’s about all you hear about it! No conversations where the women are talking or have a character. There is a female general which doesn’t make sense because it’s a male warrior army. There are three princesses in which apparently there is a relationship with one- but what that is I really couldn’t tell because it’s one sided (the dude). I couldn’t finish and will not be picking up the second book.
An amazing adventure of intertwining worlds!
