People We Meet on Vacation

I regret this choice. Such a one-dimensional, lackluster rom com that I neither laughed at nor found romantic. Would not recommend.

I would have loved this book if I were a 12 year old girl. So predictable. So boring. So uneventful. I kept hoping something interesting would happen but it didn't. I have started a list of authors never to read again. Emily Henry is the first entry on my list.

Loved it! Quick read. I recommended it to a friend and she loved it too! Hallmark vibes with a little spice.

I have really enjoyed reading Emily Henry and this is my favorite so far. I laughed, I cried, I cheered, and I booed. These were likable characters with ordinary character flaws and it was fun following their journey.

Don’t waste your time. The characters barely developed.

Her stomach is in her heart. Her stomach is a heavy wall. Her stomach is a flutter. Just what is it with this woman’s stomach? I was bored on their vacation so skipped to the last chapter. No surprise there.

I cringed too much through this

It took a minute to adjust to the narration. She also narrated The Invisible Life of Addie Larue. Once I was able to move past it, I enjoyed the book. Turned out exactly as I predicted but sometimes you need a beautiful bow at the end.

This book really exceeded my expectations. I guess I expected a typical rom com story, but was pleasantly surprised by how multifaceted the story actually became.

I’m a fan of Emily Henry! This is my second book of hers and I just loooove her romances. I love how she writes the men characters, the women characters are cool too but she really makes me fall in love with these men and I think men are trash! Can’t wait to read her other books.

A really great book we all have flaws and doubts and this book really personalizes those doubts about ourselves and the ones we love.

Predictable and over dramatic

I’ll give it a 3.5 because it was cute in the end but it was a bit frustrating too.

I truly enjoyed this book, although it also felt like most rom coms. It doesn’t change the fact that I would read it again for the first time if I could.

I love this book! Gets better with every additional time I listen to it as the characters have so many layers. Narrator is gifted - brings the words to life.

Great summer read!

Predictable but sweet

I contemplated abandoning this book many times because it was basically about nothing. It didn’t get interesting until the last 90 minutes.

A definite beach read. Romance abounds.
