Unabridged Audiobook
I did not find this book as good as the first. The plot too convoluted, some parts implausible. I also found Diana’s nostalgic thoughts about her father and her parents’ home, and like in India in general, to be painted too rosily. Yes, her family were wealthy, but to make it sound like all the luxuries they enjoyed were never at anyone’s expense or exploitation - gimme a break. Maybe her father treated his servants well, but even the tea they drank was picked by someone who worked for pennies. But the writing was good and the narration superb.
