Pet Sematary

Unabridged Audiobook

Written By: Stephen King

Narrated By: Michael C. Hall

Publisher: Simon & Schuster

Date: March 2018

Duration: 15 hours 43 minutes

Never before available on unabridged audio! Dexter’s Michael C. Hall reads this classic horror story described by Publishers Weekly as the “most frightening novel Stephen King has ever written.”

Soon to be a major motion picture!

When Dr. Louis Creed takes a new job, and moves his family to the idyllic, rural town of Ludlow, Maine, this new beginning seems too good to be true. Yet despite Ludlow’s tranquility, there’s an undercurrent of danger that lingers…like the graveyard in the woods near the Creed’s home, where generations of children have buried their beloved pets.

Behind the “pet sematary,” there is another burial ground, one that lures people to it with seductive promises…and ungodly temptations. A blood-chilling truth is hidden there—one more terrifying than death itself, and hideously more powerful. An ominous fate befalls anyone who dares tamper with this forbidden place, as Louis is about to discover for himself…

I'd read this book many years ago and it's just as awesome as I remember! Stephen King is beyond a master!! The audiobook brings something else to the table. Hearing the story play out in Michel C. Halls voice was brilliant! So, even if you have read Pet Semetary, just as I had, do yourself a favor and listen.

Terrifyingly outstanding!! Michael C. Hall does each voice so flawlessly that sometimes I forgot he was the only one story telling! This is my favorite audio book in my collection!

Having read this novel years ago when it first came out and then watching the movie later, I only looked at it for the scare factor. Listening to this story this time, with perfect narration by Michael C. Hall, I realized the real message behind the scare. What would any of us do to bring back a loved one who has passed on. What cost? This time, the story became more emotional for me, more meaningful. Great novel, a very dark and disturbing subject matter, done only the way Stephen King can do it.
