Unabridged Audiobook
The story was quite good. The setting of the series also was good. In as much as I planned to read more, I have some serious concerns. The author did not describe the protagonist very well. If we are to be engaged enough to want to read more, we are sadly ignorant of who this new detective is and how she feels about life. As events proceed she is unclear what to do, but never explains why. We can only project our own concerns, which may not be hers. The fact that she didn’t know her uncle who did so much for her, is to be expected…. As no one knows anyone in this series. Problems continue when she interacts with other characters. Even the romantic moment was hard to believe. Usually I like to root for the best compatible couple, but here we are left empty. This continues throughout.
I enjoy listening to the cute and quirky mysteries starring Clara Vale. Im set to listen to another.
Nice entertaining detective story well narrated. No obvious culprit, good character introduction and setting bith time and place.
