Unabridged Audiobook
J. H. Croix always tells a good story, and the two narrators did a very good job.
I was entertained by this sports romance, but there were some issues that were concerning. I was somewhat disturbed by the ethical questions raised by a patient and doctor relationship. I felt there was too much emotional angst. There were several steamy descriptions. I enjoyed Benjamin Crow's and Georgia Gray's dual narrations which enhanced the story's entertainment.
JH Croix always writes amazing stories filled with fantastic characters with passion that is off the charts! I haven’t read many patient/doctor romance books and this one is fantastic! Olivia and Liam and an instant attraction but try to deny them…until they can no longer. This story is filled with so much amazing banter, sizzle and love. Benjamin Crow and Georgia Grayslake are new to me narrators and I really enjoyed their voices. They give each of the characters perfect emotion, voice and personality. A fantastic listen!
Wow! The Play is dynamic and intense. Olivia is brilliant, introverted, and so incredibly angsty over every emotion. I love the depth of her authenticity and integrity, her love for her friends, and her genuine confusion over her feelings. I did not like her super low self-esteem, but I LOVE how Liam handled it—and her. Liam is an absolute treasure—kind, compassionate, funny, down to earth, determined, and self-reflective. Listening to these two banter—oh my word—and their chemistry? So delicious. The narrators did a lovely job of bringing these characters and the supporting characters to audio life. Their depth of expression, their inflection, their voices, all of it rounded out the package. What a fun novel!
