This novel was outstanding!

I've read a lot of Tess' books & have enjoyed then. This one was good the story was interesting with the tie into the historical aspect. The story was overall good but at the end I felt was rushed & not resolved. didntbthink the tying of all the ends together wasn't adequately explored. Good story though

Good plot. Nice twist at the end. A heartrending story of doomed lovers in nazi italy.

This book is perfect for the audiobooks format. So well read and enhanced by the haunting violin music.

i love the violent music in this book and the story is very interesting. I also like the historical side that is given at the end. Very good listen.

Was one of the best books I've heard in awhile

I was made aware of Italian history during the NAZI reign of terror that I never knew. It was heartbreaking. The novel storyline was both interesting and gripping. I listened to this recording in one day, because I couldn't stop. That is unusual for me.

Good story but ….

Absolutely brilliant! Several times I nodded my head thinking I’d had it all figured out only to be surprised. Hearing the haunting sounds of the violin added a level of emotion. Excellent!!!!

I have read several of Tess Gerritsen's books and have loved them. Not the case with this one. I was throughly disappointed with the plot and I hated the narration.

Loved this book, not what I expected after reading another book by the same author, but it was a nice surprise.

A great novel based on true history. an exceptionally tense but hugely addictive read.
