Unabridged Audiobook
An amazing book by an amazing person, very much enjoyed!
I found Erik’s narration to be extremely monotone and boring. Whilst it’s good to hear the story from the horse’s mouth, I think the book would have benefited from having an English-speaking narrator. This is not a dig at him personally, as although his English is excellent, it sounded stilted and I feel he should have opted to have the book read. As for the content, Erik has gone through a lot, and I enjoyed hearing his side of the story. He’s shown great courage and determination to get through the highs and lows and it definitely gave an insight into the life and troubles of a rock singer. I gifted my girlfriend a signed copy of the hard copy of this and she would give this a 5-star rating based on the writing and story, and if this was read by a native speaker, I’d agree. But as it stands, this is a 4-star download, worth a listen.
