Amazing book. I’m Mexican and although I know it’s supposed to be sort of fictional, I also know Winslow researched the story of the drug cartels in Mexico amazingly and he truly portrayed a true story of what takes place in Mexico. Loved this book!!!

Terrible read. I kept waiting for the atrocities to stop and for a story to begin. About half way through I had to quit; it was just one gross event followed by another.

Great novel

Great book, really well done. My only knock is that it is extremely and I mean extremely vulgar from a profanity and sexual standpoint. If you're okay with both of those, then I would highly recommend.

Good listen

The narrator was awesome capturing the fast pace of the story. The narration of the earthquake was so vivid and I thought I was in it.

A very long, captivating book. Perfect for long drives or hikes.

I really enjoyed this book. A well written story, great storyline and a fantastic narrator who really made the characters come to life.
