Unabridged Audiobook
it's an interesting tale that is for sure, a few things bug me. it's well documented that his friend Matt who is talked about doing amazing and is often spoke about in the book is massive again. Penn himself put back on over 30lbs also. This means that like many diets they didn't actually learn anything about how to feed themselves afterwards. Sorry it may be fruit but eating multiple punnets of blueberrys is not normal, it's pure greed. It's like a drug addict swapping cocaine for sex, they still addicts that need help and it sounds like they are still food addicts but just changed to a lower grade drug . The plan that they were put on is not revolutionary, in the nutritional world 'extreme dieting' is a common thing , to do it for that long is unusual however. The vegan diet is not a healthy one, it's the only diet that requires supplements. The diet is no different from one of those shake only diets but presented in different clothes . Oh how much protein do I need ? weight in kgs * 0.8 is the answer. Anyway the book is interesting to hear the struggles that come with extreme dieting. But as no one talked about in the book kept it off then it's a failed experiment.
It's fun to hear Penn's words, in his own voice, and the audio book goes at a good pace, if you like his way with words and his no nonsense attitude then you will enjoy the book. It won't be for everyone but if you enjoy their stage show then the insight to his weight loss and snap shot of the time spent doing it is an entertaining journey
Inspiring! (Penn would guffaw at that.) Two weeks on the potato diet, and I am no longer a couch potato. Depression is gone. I am completing projects. Joints not as achy. I have energy. Cravings are manageable. Losing on average a pound a day.
So entertaining I think this is the first book that has kept me laughing form beginning to end! I can't recommend it enough! We love you penn!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It changed a lot about how I think and how I view the world. I may not want to try anything as crazy as described by Penn, but I was entertained by his highly descriptive and often hilarious anecdotes! I always wondered how he achieved such a drastically sudden change, as I first saw it on a random episode of P&T: Fool Us and was utterly gobsmacked! As for narration, Penn Jillette could narrate the BIBLE and I'd enjoy it!

Disappointing! One of a very few books I could not bring myself to finish.
Very inspired love Penn! This is truly the best thing on the reality of weight loss.Time for my fat fuck self to start the potato famine! On day 4 thus far, feels great, I understand now there's are cravings and not hunger.
As always Penn does an amazing job narrating. Your in for a treat!!!
Penn Jillette's has delivered yet another entertaining and thought provoking book. This book will keep you laughing and if you're looking to lose some weight, it may even change your life.
