After months of coming back empty-handed, Ayana’s father Roland, King of Nevar, returns from his hunt with a new victim in tow, ready to quench his thirst to spill magical blood in the hopes that it will bring him closer to breaking the curse spread to all the world. Unable to save the woman without revealing her own magical prowess, Ayana offers her a dying wish. Needing to keep her promise, Ayana heads into the woods in search of the fairy woman’s partner, Plague. The man who is said to have cursed the world. Ayana struggles to keep her two worlds separate as the threat of war begins to circulate, and Ayana is forced to choose a side. Will she stand with magic and join Plague in the woods, or will she remain by her father’s side and help him bring an end to magic once and for all?
