If you asked me the kind of man I was attracted to, I could tell you without a second thought. My answer would have nothing to do with looks either. I thought the perfect man was one that wasn't associated with motorcycle clubs, violence, and mischief. In my mind, those kinds of men were bad and therefore not worth my time. Unfortunately for me, life hits hard, or is it my husband that hit hard? Either way, I am forced to call for help when I reach my wits' end. Now, I need protection from the very man I said I would never need.

I was always told that I was a natural-born leader. So, when it was time for the CCB President chair to be filled, I was the obvious choice.

In the street-racing scene, CCB is undefeated, and people are jealous of it. The only way for them to beat us is to create a money pot for a race they know we have no one to enter. But like a twisted wink from God, the way to keep our title is thrust into my lap. In exchange, I provide her protection from a man she never should've been with in the first place, because she always belonged to me.
