Queen Andraya

What a marvelous story! I enjoyed the progress as one challenge after another was accepted and overcome. The characters grew and became stronger and more able to fulfill their roles, and the story developed in depth and scope. I love the anti slavery / human trafficking aspect to this book!

This was my first experience with Brenda Hodnett's work, and it was entertaining. After the king died, Queen Andraya had many obstacles and people to overcome to claim her power within the kingdom. I liked the character of Queen Adraya as she was courageous, intelligent, compassionate and refused to backdown from any challenge. There were some surprising twists and a mystery that threaded throughout the story. Brenda Hodnett's narration was fine as she provided different voices for the various characters. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.
