Summary
The battle for France is almost over but the Plantagenets do not know it. They cling to the hope that by throwing more and more men at a lost cause they will regain the land lost. Still a fan of this series. I think Griff ended this one as though another will follow. Still I enjoyed listening thru the life of William Strongstaff and his adopted son Michael.

I loved the series, especially the reasonable transition from Sir William to Sir Michael as there was just no way Sir William could have continued to be the lead character due to his age.For anyone interested, there is a 10th book "The Knight's Tale" but unfortunately I can not find any audiobook of it, only the written form.It looks like the Author has several multibook series, I intend to look up the chronological order and work my way from Griff's earliest setting to latest. I am curious how much his other series may lead into and expand upon this one.
