This is my first DH Lawrence experience. I think I must have had something of a relationship with this book, because ( just like in a real relationship) I was awed by the writing style, poetic and beautifully descriptive, then, the next line, though the same, would feel tedious and never ending. The story was epic- for me, maybe a bit too symbolic. I’m not smart enough to figure all that out- be straightforward, at least part of the time. As far as the narrator, I’m used to her funny accent. For me she feels warm and comfortable- we’ve been through many books together. Debra Lyn is on my follow list
