Real Life in a Fallen World: Lessons from the Book of Ecclesiastes

Life in this fallen world can often feel confusing, repetitive, and vain. Walking readers through the book of Ecclesiastes with pastoral wisdom and biblical clarity, Tom Ascol shows how this often-misunderstood book speaks directly to the frustrations and questions of everyday life.

Rather than offering shallow optimism or easy answers, Ecclesiastes confronts the realities of sorrow, injustice, work, aging, pleasure, and death head-on. Yet through the voice of the Preacher, readers are continually directed beyond the vanity of life “under the sun” to the God who rules over every season and circumstance. Ascol helps readers see that true meaning is not found in earthly success or personal fulfillment, but in fearing God and living in light of eternity through Jesus Christ.

Written in a devotional and accessible style, this book serves as both a guide to Ecclesiastes and a companion for weary believers seeking wisdom for daily life.
