Really good series, jusy finnished book 3 and it's still very imaginative and intersting. Can't wait to see the rest come out.

This is better than I was expecting. It had kept coming up in book searches but I was avoiding it because of the "Demonic" title. But it's exactly the kind of story I have been enjoying lately. Someone put in a strange world and having to learn the rules of magic and whatnot. But with the twist of being a tree. AND the author doesn't cave in to giving the main character an easy way to communicate. I think the added struggle of communication and just having the main character talk to himself added to the uniqueness and was really well done. The naration was also excelent. The perfect blend of voice acting without being overdone that helps me follow along, become immersed, while not being distracting. The demonic aspects weren't all that blatent either. I could easily swap the words in my head from "demonic" to "beast" and it worked for the most part. Not actually any more disturbing than most other books of the genre, so perhaps calling the type of training and the type of tree demonic would be more accurate. Anyways, I'm going to have to ensure I pick up the other books at some point. I'm invested now in how the characters progress.
