Now a Sky Original film starring Outlander's Sam Heughan, Ruby Rose, and Andy Serkis

The Channel Tunnel. Your worst fears are about to come true...

Deep beneath the English Channel, a small army of vicious terrorists has seized control of the Eurostar to Paris, taken 400 hostages at gunpoint - and declared war on a government that has more than its own fair share of secrets to keep.

One man stands in their way. An off-duty SAS soldier is hiding somewhere inside the train. Alone and injured, he's the only chance the passengers and crew have of getting out alive. Meet Andy McNab's explosive new creation, Sergeant Tom Buckingham, as he unleashes a whirlwind of intrigue and retribution in his attempt to stop the terrorists and save everyone on board - including Delphine, the beautiful woman he loves.

Hurtling us at breakneck speed between the Regiment's crack assault teams, Whitehall's corridors of power and the heart of the Eurotunnel action, RED NOTICE is McNab at his devastatingly authentic, pulse pounding best.

'One of the great all-action characters of recent times. Like his creator, the ex-SAS soldier turned uber agent is unstoppable.' Daily Mirror

'Authentic to the core' Daily Express

I also won this audiobook. Does come across as a cliche heavy James Bond type story which I guess some will enjoy. Even as an audiobook a bit clunky in places with the extreme detail of equipment and operating procedure. Some plotting seems a bit forced. Example. The hero starts at 1 end of a moving train. Gets to middle where a passemger has had a scuffle with the bad guy who isnt there. "Where did he go?!" He asks. Pretty obvious where he went. Quite a few parts like that and some amazing coincidences too.

Ok for a bit of mindless escapism but the characterisation is a bit lazy and simplistic- I guess that’s why the characters have changed significantly in the Sky adaptation.

I'm glad I won this book and didn't buy it, reasonably well written but the characters are awful, the hero too good to be true, handsome, strong, brave, honest, loyal, extremely intelligent. The villain, too evil to be true, ruthless, blood-thirsty and, yes, extremely intelligent. The supporting characters are all by the book clichés too. Didn't finish it, far better books to read or listen to out there than wasting my time on this mundane action "thriller".

I'm fairly new to audio books, and have left a few behind because of boring narrators that couldn't keep me interested, but this book and narrator kept me hooked. Every chance I got, I had my earphones in gripped on the exiting fast paced story. Already downloaded the next book in the series.

Well narrated but a poor story I’m afraid.
