Unabridged Audiobook
I loved everything about this story. The beautiful backdrop of Italy was so well described, I felt as though I was there living and breathing it in with the characters. Arlo and Donvino are so opposite from each other, but both are striving for something that's missing. Together, they find a love that heals them and helps them grow, individually and as a couple. Tristan James did an amazing job narrating and bringing these characters to life.
I really enjoyed this listen, which was a really lovely opposites attract romance. The narrator is very engaging and did a good job capturing Arlo and Donvino’s personalities. The setting is wonderfully brought to life and a real highlight, playboy Arlo Bonetti is exiled to Italy, so his great aunt can turn him into an upstanding citizen or lose hid trust fund. He meets Donvino, the caretakers grandson lovely and ambitious, but also closeted. The characters are well drawn and dimensional, I loved Arlo’s transformation as he takes control of his life and family expectations. This was a great escape, with the beautiful Italian countryside, great characters, and lovely Italian happy ending.
Although I loved the book, the narration takes it up a level. I loved the characters and the storyline. The little old ladies have such an affect on the characters and family is everything.
Story: Great opposites attract story set in amazing Italy, with great characters and plot that will keep you hooked! Loved everything about the book, including the hot mess the MCs were at the beginning. Another great V.L. Locey title! Narration: Very good performance that conveyed the characters' quirks really well, and that was not an easy fit in this one!
