One ordinary man pursuing happiness and freedom as the 2nd choice son, reluctantly steps up and assists his father in family funeral business. As he takes control and business is booming, his father succumbs to the pressures of a national death care corporation known for hostile takeovers, expecting his son to work for them. Feeling betrayed and unable to tolerate their unethical and cold-hearted business practices, he decides to strike out on his own, using his own name. Incensed by the audacity, the corporation uses every legal trick available to quash his fledgling business, using their massive resources.
Can he prove that the Golden Rule still rules?
Based on his true story.
But this story is about more than the funeral business. It is about the corporatization of America, and how individually owned businesses are being swallowed up or driven out of business by publicly traded behemoths.
