Unabridged Audiobook
Great read! It was interesting, raw, sad, and beautifully written. I never knew Elizabeth Edwards before her husband was plastered all over the TV for his affair and this book really touched me and made me see Mrs. Edwards as an individual--- and a profound and wise one at that.
I loved this book!!!!!!! It was so genuine and interesting. I didn't find it too sad. For me, it was comforting, facsinating and relatable. It is not that I went through the same exact things as Elizabeth Edwards but I could see myself feeling how she felt if I had. It was a beautifully written and honest look into the life of Elizabeth Edwards that I found so relatable even though I am not from the same party and I didn't go through any of the same hardships. I really, really enjoyed this short memoir. If you have ever lost a child or gone through something very unexpected like the betrayal of a loved one I think this book may really be comforting to you. I didn't go through any of that and it was still relatable and comforting to me. It was just a good and well written book about a hard time in a woman's life who seemed to have everything going for her before life changed course in painful ways that couldn't be controlled or reversed--- something we can all relate to.
This book was so sad that I found it hard to listen to. Elizabeth Edwards seems to be a strong woman and has had lots of heartache in her life. I was hoping for something more uplifting because she also has many things to be thankful for. I loved her poetry.
