Unabridged Audiobook
Book: Great! Highly recommend. Narration: AWFUL! This is an AI narrated book. I decided to listen to the book to see if I would “get used to it” or adjust to an AI narrator. I have listened to over 7 hours of the book and have only gotten more frustrated and disgruntled as the book has gone on. AI narration should not be treated the same as human narration. AI narration is not fit for a paid product. In this book: - The cadence is often unnatural and distracting. - Words are pronounced incorrectly—for example, “present” (to show) is read as “present” (gift), and the medical drama ER is spoken as “er.” - At random points, a real human voice interjects single phrases—creating a jarring, incoherent listening experience. This is not a matter of “narrator preference.” It is a matter of quality control. The book itself is great. It is very science heavy, but the preface tells the reader what to read/skip based on if they want to know all the research or just the practical applications. As a holistic nurse educator specializing in Hashimoto's, this book has helped me understand the disease and medications better. I highly recommend the book. (Just not the AI narration.)
