Steampunk hardcore sci fi space pirate adventure. Outstanding!!

One thing you’d never expect from an Alastair Reynolds series is niggling little mistakes in the science. The combination of anachronisms and technological advancement really interferes with the story. One egregious example: inkwells and paper in a space vehicle. Also, I don’t think solar sails would function as described in this series. I’m really disappointed with this series.

enjoyable, a bit gratuitous with the violence

I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. I liked the narration, and found her accent charming. It was a good listen.
