The Rise of Nine

Unabridged Audiobook

Publisher: HarperCollins Publishers

Date: August 2012

Duration: 10 hours 7 minutes

Summary:

This program also contains seven bonus radio transmissions from Pittacus Lore!

Until the day I met John Smith, Number Four, I'd been on the run alone, hiding and fighting to stay alive.

Together, we are much more powerful. But it could only last so long before we had to separate to find the others. . . .

I went to Spain to find Seven, and I found even more, including a tenth member of the Garde who escaped from Lorien alive. Ella is younger than the rest of us, but just as brave. Now we're looking for the others-including John.

But so are they.

They caught Number One in Malaysia.
Number Two in England.
And Number Three in Kenya.
They caught me in New York-but I escaped.
I am Number Six.
They want to finish what they started.

But they'll have to fight us first.

Book is enjoyable, fun, and moves at a quick enough pace. Female narration good whether doing male or female voices. Male narration is fine for male voices; but females sound ridiculous, like all of them are 5 yrs old. Was not a fan of the tracks at the end from 'Pittacus Lore'. They are contrived and are presented in a way that almost ruin the immediacy the books offer. And the voice - regardless of special effect- is awful (from cadence to sentence structure to sounding like someone is reading a script without much thought to what they're saying).

I've read all the other books. This is the last one. I hope it's good
