Unabridged Audiobook
Book is great, and the narrator gave a fantastic job. Best narrator I’ve heard for audiobooks!
Great book to listen to.
A very insightful look at what happened to a true comedy genius.
Everything about the book was great. The narrator was able to match Robin's speech cadence and his idiosyncrasies down perfectly.
What an amazing way to learn about the man behind the comedy and the genius actor who seemed to belong to the entire world, but who truly meant so much to those closest to him. This was such a well written biography and the narration was really perfect. No other celebrity biography or autobiography has truly been as timely as this for me. “Robin” touches on the most vulnerable and honest parts of a beloved celebrity who truly always seemed like his work resonated with every important time of my life. Hearing the stories behind the celebrity part of the man he was just made him more beloved and gave his tragic death much more clarity. RIP Robin.
an interesting look at the inside of celebrity. narrator did a great Robin Williams voice but i found his natural voice a little irritating...
As a comedian of 23 years 5 months a week and a day, I thought Fred Berman did an amazing job of narrating this title. At some times you could actually SEE ROBIN because of his voice work. I was on a plane the last 2 chapters weeping like I lost a family member. I knew the ending and still cried in the end. Amazing job on this one to the author Dave Itzkoff as well. Arlen “GRIFF” Griffij
Itzkoff does a good job on this one. I would definitely recommend, although the general tiring left leaning tendencies of Hollywood types is pervasive in their Bio's. The author does not add to it, he just collected a ton of info and laid it out in a comprehensive way. The narrator, Fred Berman, actually evolved as a voice of Robin as it went along. He did a better than average job on vocal inflection, which really made him sound like Robin Williams at times, thereby adding to the enjoyment.
