Summary
JOB SEARCH: Hideaway Springs, CO
RESULTS: 1

'Single-dad rancher seeking live-in nanny for nine-year-old boy. Must have experience, be playful and not looking for a real-life love story (six weeks only - don't apply if looking for long-term).'

There cannot be only one job in Hideaway Springs. Not that I won't take literally anything at this point, but the likelihood of Levi Reeves hiring me is negative zero.

It doesn't stop me knocking on his door, though. Besides, his grumpy scowls are easy to tune out when my eyes are distracted by his sculpted physique and the rugged edges of his face.

I'm reluctantly hired on the understanding that it's a short-term agreement, he's desperate and firmly got his eye on me . . . And, eventually, his hands too.

But as the hot summer days turn to crisp autumn nights, my six weeks are up, and whilst he may have every intention of making me stay, my past is a reality I can never escape.

And I love them both too much to bring trouble to their home.

IMO, it is LAZY writing when a book has CONSTANT SWEARING. Ms.Tully had an interesting plot. For example, I wasn’t expecting a character to be in the witness protection program, but she ruined the story for me with the excessive bad language. The narrators were excellent (once I sped up the speed). I’m glad I only used a VIP credit. If there was swearing in the sample at all it was minimal or I would have picked something else. Unfortunately, I had to quit listening very early on because the language was so ridiculous.

Great story.

I listened to the entire series, and this was by far my least favourite. The story felt unrealistic, and just too over-the-top for my taste. I only finished it because I like completing a series. If you're invested in the characters, it's probably worth listening to for the sake of continuity. But if you're considering it as a standalone book, I'd pass. I'd found it strange that all of a sudden the narrator had a Texas voice, where this is not the case for the other brothers in the previous series.

I listened to the entire series, and the others were good, but I felt like this one was over the top cheesy, implausible, and just too much to be frank. It was my least favorite out of the series, but I’m the type of person that has to see it through so if you were the same, go ahead and give it a listen. But as a standoff or one off, I would not have listened to this that I known.

I read the first book in this series & decided to keep going. This third one was definitely the best of the group. Moves quickly. Kind of a soap opera-romcom. Is cute.
