Unabridged Audiobook
Truly a Golden Classic among mystery stories, as a NYTimes reviewer recently labelled it. A great plot, a great narrator BUT the truly objectionable (for most people) references to Blacks in this story are not okay. No, don't ban the book, everyone should learn what Blacks have had to put up with even via mystery literature; it is edifying. I did appreciate the insertion of a statement at the beginning of the narrative which said to the effect: Please read/listen with integrity. Ellery Queen was obviously a man of his time.
