Run, Little Monster!: Hunted Across a Broken World

The world ended in fire, and what remains is smaller, harsher, and ruled by fear. In that world, a girl named Fran runs—not just from cruelty, but from something inside her that others would destroy if they understood it. When her body begins to change in ways she can’t control, the danger shifts. Hiding becomes harder. And the people closest to her become the greatest threat.

Run, Little Monster! drives forward with relentless urgency, placing Fran in a tightening circle of pursuit. Every step forces a choice—hide or fight, trust or stay silent, risk everything or be taken. As the chase escalates, a mysterious voice reaches her across impossible distance, offering guidance she doesn’t fully understand. It may be her only chance. But trusting it means stepping into something even more unknown than the danger behind her.

Chester S. Geier delivers a tense, emotionally charged story set in the shadow of atomic devastation. The ruined cities still burn with unseen danger, and the survivors have turned inward, suspicious of anything different. Against that backdrop, Fran’s struggle becomes immediate and personal. She isn’t trying to change the world—she’s trying to survive the next hour.

Chester S. Geier published extensively in Weird Tales, Fantastic Adventures, and other pulp-era magazines, often blending science fiction with horror elements. His work includes stories like “The Return of the Mummy” and numerous collaborations and solo pieces that explored strange transformations and hidden dangers. In Run, Little Monster!, Geier brings those instincts into a post-atomic setting, where fear of the unknown has become a weapon—and being different is a sentence you may not survive.
