Emotionally charged, clean, and riveting, this dystopian tale had me rooting for the characters and wondering what was going to happen next! I loved the happy ending, and the narration on audiobooks with the special effects was superb!

I thought this story was entertaining. Sara was drafted into WWIII. While Sara was learning to survive on the front lines, she found herself torn between the memory of her late husband and the attraction that she felt for her superior officer. The setting was creative. The characters were complicated. There were some intense moments. Brenda Hodnett's narration was fine, but there were times when her performance slid into a sing-songy quality. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.
