Jayavant Dalvi has depicted a village in South Kokan in this novel. It holds us with a host of interesting characters of that time. A really aggressive Pavte Mastar, constantly fighting Aba Babuli, the theatrist Jiva Shingi & other many of them these people do not come all alone. They come on a lively backdrop of Ravalanth Mandir, the Utsav, Primary school, Sunday market, Service motor!! These are the people who live very open, candid in this entire environment. This could be termed as autobiography of Aapu, or these could be just memoirs, or these could be just funny anecdotes, or this could be termed as novel.
