Everything I wanted and more!! Sawyer the lawyer exceeded all my already high expectations. Sawyer falling for the independent, strong, sweet single mom fighting her way back from a traumatic past and her 2 boys? Everything!!! Reluctantly, Sawyer has relocated to Whispers part-time to take over for the retiring town attorney after a ‘little’ nudge from Tanner. First up, to help single mom, Annabelle set up her soap business. His first encounter at her farm had me grinning from ear to ear. I didn’t stop until the end of this audio. The more time Sawyer spends with Annabelle and her boys, the harder he falls. Sawyer and Annabelle are the perfect example of opposites attract. Seemingly, he’s the slick, city lawyer and she’s the reserved, quiet mom and soap maker. These two were so much more than the surface and brought it out in each other. Sawyer’s history leads to being empathetic towards Annabelle, but he has the utmost respect and admiration for her knowing what she has overcome. His love language is to help when he sees a need, but he manages to help Annabelle while also lifting her up. Annabelle is a fighter and stronger with the support of Sawyer. It was amazing watching her blossom as the story progressed and she was fierce when those mama bear claws came out to protect her boys. Duet narration by Robert Hatchett and Amanda Stribling. Both have become two of my favorite narrators this year and this audio is one reason why. Robert portrayed Sawyer’s fiercely protective, loyal nature and the perfect comedic delivery for the fish out of water city lawyer dealing with country living. But when he says ‘mama’? Oh boy. I did not expect to like that term of endearment, but he makes it work! Amanda has that sweet tone with just a hint of a twang that was perfect for Anabelle. She delivered on her sass and teasing of Sawyer along with her strength when she was tested. These two brought an already terrific story up to another level. I loved every bit of their journey including the suspense. Even though I guessed where the story was going, there was a still a little twist that surprised me. Samantha Skye continues to weave the previous book’s characters seamlessly into the current story and I really like that. Plus, she gives us some insight into the next in the series and I can’t wait for that one.

I listened to the audiobook version of this story and it was so good. Sawyer is the most delicious lawyer ever. The loving way he took care of Annabelle and her children was so touching. He is romantic, sweet, protective, sexy, smart and kind. The plot of the story was super interesting, and the amount of suspense surrounding Annabelle and her boys kept me on the edge of my seat. I love a good suspenseful romance and this one was perfect. These men in The Billionaires of Whispers series are just pure perfection and I want them all. The duet style narration by Amanda Stribling and Robert Hatchet was phenomenal. They did an amazing job and brought the chemistry between Sawyer and Annabelle to life in the most magical of ways. Great story, great narration, great series!
