This is a book set away back in 1912/13 so a lot of the languished is old fashioned. However, it was a likeable detective story which I enjoyed. I did not like that they told me at the end of every chapter that it was the end and then promptly told me that we were on to the next chapter, that the book is on the public domain and who wrote it which wasted a lot of time. I knew which book I was listening to and I'm pretty sure I could keep track of each chapter. I wasn't too keen on the fact that the narrator was American (it's a very British type of thriller) and that she sounded as if she was a robot hence the 2 starts for narration. If this is the format of all the books by LibriVox I'm not sure I'd listen to any more.
