The book is well written, I have liked the Authors other books. I would have given it 5 stars but took 1 away only because I just really didn't like the MMC. Everything else was great. Tristan just really bugged me and I kinda forced myself to finish this one. Audiobook is good too.

I read this based on recommendations from IG and because I liked Emily McIntyre’s book “Hooked”. However, I just couldn’t get into this one. I made it 3 hours in and couldn’t listen anymore. I get this is supposed to be a storybook retelling for the villain. The MMC is a straight up psychopathic killer who likes to hurt people just because. I get this is supposed to be a storybook retelling for the villain. Maybe I didn’t make it far enough in to the story to get the connection, but I couldn’t get passed how awful the MMC was to listen any further.
