Searching for myself

In the heart of the Great Depression, a young life began within the walls of a Manhattan orphanage, a beginning defined by absence and longing. But Searching For Myself is more than a story of survival; it is a sweeping odyssey of discovery. From the pivotal moment of reuniting with a mother at age twelve to the bright lights of Broadway—where the stage was shared with icons like Charlton Heston—this memoir traverses the heights of artistic achievement and the depths of personal identity. Across five continents, through the halls of international schools and finally to the volcanic shores of the Cape Verde Islands, follow a remarkable quest to bridge the gap between a fragmented past and a grounded future.
