Who is leaving Millie anonymous notes—and why does Wesley care so very much?

Millie Hollis has come to the Yuletide house party with one simple hope: to fall in love—with someone charming, attentive, and preferably capable of making her heart race.

Wesley Prescott has come for one reason only: to look after his sister, Millie’s dearest friend. He has no interest in holiday flirtations, romantic schemes, or the bright-eyed young woman who once harbored an unfortunate tendre for him.

But when Millie begins receiving anonymous notes from a secret suitor, Wesley is reluctantly drawn into the mystery. As the two search for clues beneath garlands, candlelight, and mistletoe, Millie is determined to discover which gentleman has finally noticed her.

The trouble is, the more time Wesley spends helping Millie find her admirer, the more he begins to wonder how he ever failed to notice her himself.

And Millie may have to decide whether the love she came to find is hidden in the notes—or standing right beside her.
