Unabridged Audiobook
I loved Lizette and Tristan's slow-burn romance. Lizette was not what Tristan imagined when he was tasked with bringing Lord Ashington's granddaughter back to London. She was headstrong and not a pushover who'd do something just because she was told to do it. I loved the banter between them and couldn't wait for the two of them to realize they were beginning to have feelings for each other.Lizette and Tristan's characters had some things in common--she didn't want to suddenly be thrusted into Society and he didn't want to be Lord Ashington's heir. That was supposed to have been his brother's position but Tristan was doing his best to prepare for it. Because of the weight of that position hanging over his head Tristan wasn't enjoying his life at all until he started going to social events with Lizette. I loved the suspense, how the secrets were revealed and I could not have predicted the twist at the end. I can't wait to read the other books in the series!!
