I didn’t realize how much I was chasing reassurance until this pointed it out. It was uncomfortable at times, but in a good way. Quietly helped me slow down and notice myself. What stood out most wasn’t some big concept, it was a quiet sentence about how we brace for disconnection before it even happens. That one hit hard. This also didn’t talk down to me or try to inspire me. It just laid it out and let me sit with it. It gave me language I didn’t have before, and space to think without feeling like I was being talked at. Glad I gave it time.

I am sure I am not alone in feeling like everyone is leaving; losing all my family has been tough. Even at 50, and I know it is expected, but my losses early in my life may be influencing my anxiety now. I found this wonderful book on anxious attachment in hopes of finding techniques to reduce my anxiety and find other outlets. This book does a great job explaining the why and how to make small changes to my perceptions to change how I interact with loss. The book is well written and so easy to follow.

Anxiety is something that many people have, but they don’t know they have it. I heard from the author that we need to plan and control our emotions so that we can overcome anxiety. Her ideas provided me with excellent advice that I can put into practice and see how I can help my family, who are having difficulty, live a joyful and healthy life. I like the story of Amy and her story to give us a picture of how we should handle our lives, as she took on leadership roles. It’s a great audiobook.

What I liked most about this audiobook is how validating and supportive it felt from start to finish. It doesn’t just explain anxious attachment; it helps you feel seen and gives you real tools to start changing old patterns. The parts on setting boundaries and calming anxious thoughts were especially helpful, and the tone felt more like a wise, kind friend than a lecture. Perfect for anyone ready to break free from fear and finally feel secure in love.

I thought that Emma has done a fantastic job when writing this book. the narration fits the writing style so well. Emma has taken some of our deepest fears and emotions and found a way to relate to them is such an empathetic way. She has clear and well-structured methods to help to understand why we feels these emotions and how to overcome them. I know someone very close to me who has abandonment issues and overthinks the smallest things so we listened to this together. The sections on communication, calming anxious thoughts and healing emotional wounds from past relationships really helped her understand why she feels this way but has also given her a new sense of confidence in order to overcome these issues. I would highly recommend this to anyone who also struggles with this emotional baggage as I think it could be so beneficial.

Finally Starting to Feel Secure Listening to this felt like someone was gently explaining what I’ve been feeling for years—but never had the words for. It helped me notice patterns I didn’t even realize I was stuck in and gave me simple ways to shift them. I liked how honest and down-to-earth it all felt, without being preachy. If relationships make you anxious and you’re tired of second-guessing yourself, this is absolutely worth your time.

Not everyone gets what it’s like to struggle with anxious attachment, but this lovely listen was very comforting and supportive in that way. My love life often felt like I was walking a tightrope without a net, constantly expecting to fall. This book didn't just explain why I kept wobbling; it actually showed me how to build my own safety net with practical steps. Understanding how to spot those old anxious thoughts and then actually change them was a revelation. Emma Harper's approach made me feel capable for the first time in a long while, and the narrator did a fantastic job; their clear and compassionate voice really brought the material to life, making even the tough stuff feel manageable. This Helped Me Feel Secure Again. I’ve struggled with anxious attachment for years—constantly overthinking texts, feeling on edge in relationships, and blaming myself when things felt off. This audiobook helped me finally understand where those feelings came from and gave me tools that actually made a difference. The part about setting boundaries without guilt was a big shift for me. I’ve already noticed changes in how I show up in conversations and how much calmer I feel overall. It’s honest, relatable, and easy to follow. If you’ve ever felt like you’re “too much” in relationships, this audiobook is definitely worth listening to.

This book put in words what I've been struggling with all this while (when it comes to relationships). The constant overthinking, the fear of being too much, the emotional rollercoasters, they all made sense in a way that felt validated. The book explains it all in a way that is practical and compassionate, plus the exercises are easy to follow. The mindfulness and grounding techniques helped me manage my anxiety and the section on communication gave me tools to speak up for my needs without fear.

In short, I recommend this book. I felt it was helpful for me and I got a couple of good insights into my behaviors in my relationships. I particularly liked that the book didn't only focus on romantic relationships but also covered friendships and workplace relationships. I think the book's narration was really good. The narrator had a pleasant voice and good pacing, and made listening to the book an enjoyable experience.

I downloaded this book on a friend’s recommendation after another round of panicking when my husband didn’t text back. Listening felt like someone finally put words to all the spiraling thoughts I could never explain. The author breaks down anxious attachment in clear, relatable language, then walks you through simple exercises, like breathing prompts, boundary scripts, journal questions that actually work in real time. I practiced one of the communication tips before a tough conversation and, for once, didn’t apologize for having feelings. The mix of personal stories and science keeps it from sounding clinical, and the step-by-step guidance makes change feel doable, not overwhelming. If your relationships trigger more anxiety than joy, this audiobook is like having a calm coach in your pocket. I highly recommend.

This book's approach to recovering from anxious attachment is practical and relatable. Instead of feeling shamed for my anxious attachment tendencies, I understood where they came from and how to shift them, step by step. The real-life stories and exercises made building self-worth and setting boundaries less like a far-off goal and more like what I could practice, even on the messiest days. Bit by bit, I noticed myself communicating more openly and worrying less about every text or moment of silence. This audiobook is a genuine support for anyone tired of living on emotional eggshells and wanting not just love, but a sense of security within themselves.

The material helped me get a better handle on my emotions and while I’m still a work in progress, I feel good about the direction I’m going. I didn’t realize how deep my trust issues went until I started listening to this. So many moments felt like a mirror, the clinginess, the overthinking, the fear of rejection. It was hard to hear at first, but that’s exactly what I needed. The book gave words to feelings I’ve been ashamed of for years and offered concrete ways to shift how I approach relationships. It doesn’t promise an overnight fix, and I liked that. What it gave me was a roadmap for making healthier connections and choosing relationships where I can actually feel safe.
