Unabridged Audiobook
One of the best horror stories I've read. Funny, twisted and scary all at the same time.
This was a hard listen. It was chosen for book club, and not something I would usually chose. I did listen to it all, but I would probably recommend it more as a book than audio, and I wouldn't actually recommend the book if you don't like a slightly odd who dunnit
I enjoyed this read! It had me giggling because of Margret’s dry sense of humour! It was gory in spots but I like that kind of thing. I was two hours from the end of the book and I thought I already knew what the ending would be. It was definitely not what I thought. Throughout the book I wondered why Margaret and Hal just didn’t leave on vacation for the whole month of September…
Loved this book such a god listen to the autumn months, this would work so well as a movie
Loved this unusual Take on a haunted house story. the dark humor was very entertaining and loved the interpersonal relationship issues that were woven in. definitely recommend.
It was ok not as spooky as I thought
It was really good, a little chaotic
Couldn’t finish…narrator was so bland and monotonous.
Not at all what I expected, but so so good!
Not really scary, but scary themed. And great characters and humor. Enjoyable and entertaining throughout.
This book has become one of my favorites. I absolutely loved the storyline and writing. It is a very unique way of telling a usually mundane haunted house story. And the narrator did a wonderful job bringing you into the story.
Uhm, this was not for me. It was so slow paced and I did not care about the dad whatsoever soooo the plot of “trying to find him” was lost on me. I read for Margaret
Great story, did not want it to end
I loved this book! Lots of twists and turns and I could picture every scary detail! Should be made into a movie!
