I would give this audiobook 10 stars if I could. I loved reading this story, but listening to it definitely leveled it right up. The performers nailed Vander and Marlo – Vander’s happy go lucky, life of the party exterior hiding a man who’s never fit in, Marlo’s cynical exterior and tender interior. And the funny bits are so much funnier in audio! I have been intrigued by Marlo since the start of this series, and her book, and her HEA, definitely do her proud.

Wow! A laugh out loud, feel-good love story. What an amazing writing style Marika has. I was so enthralled by this story I found it hard to put down and when I had to I was telling everyone that would listen just how amazing the story I’m currently reading is. Chuckling over Marlo and Vander’s first meeting was just the start. This story had me laughing so many times throughout that I was beginning to get strange looks. It was such a delight! So uplifting. With Marlo, she’s dark and brooding to Vander’s sunshine and light they are two quirky, lonely people navigating their feelings for each other. Add in Vander’s grandma G-Mil, who has no filter and is outrageously comical at times and this book is a winner. Do yourself a favour and read this story, I dare you. You will not regret it. You may even burst into uncontrollable laughter at times.. Tj Clark and Marie Hawkins were the narrators of this audiobook that I listened to. Once again the did a fantastic job of playing the roles of Marlo and Vander. An enjoyable listening experience.
