Unabridged Audiobook
This book was chosen for the book club I am in, and while it is not my favourite genre, I really did enjoy it. I related a lot to the characters, especially as I have mental health history as well as chronic migraines (which the author of the book also gets, which is why she included it). Some of it was a bit unrealistic but I thought overall it was still a great read.
Tia Williams delivers a deeply emotional, witty, and heartfelt romance in Seven Days in June, a story that’s as much about second chances and healing as it is about passion and undeniable chemistry. The novel follows Eva Mercy, a single mother and bestselling erotica writer, who unexpectedly reconnects with Shane Hall, a reclusive award-winning literary author, at a New York City literary event. What the public doesn’t know is that Eva and Shane share a scorching, complicated past: an intense week of love and pain as teenagers that left lasting marks on both of them.Williams masterfully interweaves past and present, revealing their teenage trauma while exploring how unresolved emotions can shape adult lives. The chemistry between Eva and Shane is electric, but the story’s strength lies in how it handles themes of chronic illness, addiction, motherhood, Black identity, and the complexity of love—both romantic and self-love.Eva is a smart, resilient heroine with sharp humor and vulnerability, while Shane is a wounded yet tender man trying to redeem his past. Their relationship feels authentic, messy, and real.
Chef’s Kiss! Loved this so much that I gave it to one of my favorite people as a gift!
I really loved the ending of this book and the work this author goes through to give us romance, realistic experience, and what possibilities lie in between
Absolutely loved this book. Two misfits finding, losing and finding each other again. The narrator’s voice was perfect.
I enjoyed this! Great read, and I love how the reader’s southern accent sounds like Jasmine Guy
Amazing! Definitely worth the read/listen.

I’m so glad I stumbled across this book! I had to buy the hard cover. I can relate to the characters I think that’s why I was so drawn.
kind of unrealistic for many parts of the book

I downloaded this for the Reese Witherspoon book club and while it is not a book I would normally choose, I did really enjoy it.
