Unabridged Audiobook
Not crazy about this one. Rushdie has a great command of the English language, and his writing style flows nicely. I just didn't like the story itself. I wonder if people really think the way his characters do, as though sex were a tonic for whatever ails you. I guess, in the end it illustrates the destructive power of sex misused.
I tried several times to listen to Shalimar the Clown. There isn't enough No-doze in the world that could keep me awake to get through it. Maybe I'm just not part of the literary set this type of book was designed for however I think it tells quite a bit about the ego of the author that the overview has more about him than the book.
